︎︎︎Healing in Clouds is a virtual reality experience as an endless blue sky with colorable interactive clouds to achieve a sense of inner healing. Based on the concept of Color Therapy, the project intends to create an interactive healing virtual space, combing the borderless blue sky, floating particles, and colorable clouds.
︎︎︎ During the exploration, viewers can use controllers to fly through the sky and paint clouds by using different brushes (thin to full) and colors (red to purple).
︎︎︎The project aims to let viewers gain a sense of healing by immersing in the virtual dynamic sky and interacting with the clouds.

︎︎︎ René Magritte's painting The False Mirror attracts me and brings me a sense of inner healing when looking at the blue sky in the eye. The blue sky in that eye keeps me constantly questioning myself, is the eye an opening into another reality? Inspired by this kind of thought, I decided to create the blue sky of my imagination as a healing space where the viewer can explore that virtual dynamic sky.

︎︎︎ To achieve an immersive VR experience, I decided to use Unity as the tool to construct the healing world. As for the environment, I collected some assets from Unity Asset Store.
︎︎︎By importing the assets into Unity, I designed the virtual blue sky with some particles and clouds. Importantly, I used the asset Oculus Integration to create the controllers with interaction settings (changing colors & brush scale).
︎︎︎Since I would like the viewer to interact with the clouds as painting on the surface, I modified the codes from Paint In 3D asset and added some new scripts (e.g., using the left handle to control the color change & using the right handle to control the brush change) to make them suitable for VR device. Additionally, based on the updated scripts, I moved the painting tools from Paint In 3D asset to the new scripts component. By doing so, the controller can connect to the interaction settings (changing colors & brush scale).
