💭️Concept💭️

︎︎︎ Water is the dominant element on our planet, essential for the Earth's balance and the survival of humanity. However, the accelerating pace of urbanization has led to a host of pressing issues, from flooding and water pollution to the adverse health impacts faced by city dwellers.

︎︎︎ Through this artful presentation, the project communicates a powerful message: the relative insignificance of human beings when compared to the vastness and importance of water, as well as the stark reality of water pollution brought about by unchecked urbanization. It invites viewers to ponder the profound consequences of our actions on the environment and the urgent need for sustainable solutions in an increasingly urbanized world.

💡Inspiration💡

︎︎︎ This project draws its inspiration from the bustling heart of the city, where Polaroid photography captures urban life in all its dynamism.

︎︎︎ What sets this project apart is its innovative approach: the images are transmuted and suspended within a water bottle, where they become transparent and float within the fluid.

︎︎︎ The resulting projections seamlessly blend the visual intensity of urban existence with the fluidity of water. This serves as a profound reflection on the intricate and often precarious relationship between humanity and our most indispensable resource.

⚙️️ Technique⚙️️

︎︎︎ For the physical films, I attempted to take specific site pictures with the Polaroid Color 600 films and create transparency by taking off the skin in the water.
